Sony hat letzten Mittwoch ein großes PlayStation Showcase abgehalten und dabei sehr viele neue Games von Drittherstellern präsentiert. Auch gab es einen ersten Teaser-Trailer des ersten eigenen Live-Service-Games der Haven Studios. Aber abseits davon wurde nur erstes Gameplay zu Spider-Man 2 gezeigt, kein großes neues First Party Game enthüllt.

Glaubt man dem Kotaku-Journalist Jason Schreier hat dies damit zu tun, dass sowohl Sony, als auch Nintendo in diesem Jahr mehrere ähnliche Formate planen. Dabei sollen Spieler regelmäßig auf den aktuellsten Stand zu Entwicklungen von Games gebracht werden.

Zuletzt gab es Gerüchte dass mindestens 5 PlayStation Studios bereit sind ihre großen Singleplayer-Projekte zu enthüllen. Darunter auch zahlreiche Gerüchte über ein Comeback von Bloodborne, ein neues Singleplayer-Projekt von Naughty Dog und vieles mehr.

Auch neue PlayStation 5 Modelle, inklusive einer PlayStation 5 Pro sind im Gespräch. Ein externes Laufwerk könnte künftig die Lösung für das nutzen von Disc’s darstellen.

Darüber hinaus stellt sich die Frage was Microsoft plant. Hier ist ein großes Event am 11 Juni um 19 Uhr angekündigt.

Nach dem Showcase soll gleich ein großes Starfiel Direct folgen, bei dem Xbox größter Release des Jahres voll im Mittelpunkt steht.
