Insider legen Microsofts Pläne bezüglich der neuen Xbox offen. Bekommt die PlayStation „Neo“ nun ordentlich Konkurrenz?

Die Kollegen von Euro Gamer berichten heute über ein sehr interessantes Thema. Denn es gilt ziemlich als sicher, dass Sony aktuell an einer „neuen“ Konsole arbeitet die unter dem Codenamen „PlayStation Neo“ geführt wird. Dahinter soll sich eine leicht stärkere PlayStation 4 befinden, die Spiele garantiert in 1080P und 60 FPS darstellen kann. Teilweise auch über 1080P. Außerdem soll mit der neuen Konsole auch ein 4K Blu-Ray Player einzug halten.

Nachdem auch Nintendo mit der Nintendo NX nächstes Jahr auf den Markt kommt, haben sich alle gefragt wie Microsoft nun reagiert. Ob gewollt oder nicht, Microsoft muss darauf letztlich eine Antwort geben um nicht die ohnehin schon zweiten Platz auch noch an Nintendo zu verlieren und letztlich weit abgeschlagen auf Platz 3 zu landen.

Und genau hier scheint Microsoft nun ordentlich zum Gegenschlag auszuholen um nach den ganzen genialen Projekten von Phil Spencer endlich ein ernsthafter Konkurrent für die PlayStation 4 zu werden. Laut den Gerüchten plant Microsoft nämlich eine neue Xbox, die unter dem Codenamen „Xbox Next“ gehandelt wird und 5-6 mal stärker sein soll, als die zuletzt bekannten Stats der PlayStation NEO. Insgesamt  soll die Konsole so auf 10 TFLOPS kommen.

Doch damit nicht genug. Microsoft möchte die Xbox One endlich beiseiteschieben und von Anfang an ein Produkt auf den Markt bringen, bei dem von Anfang an der beliebte Phil Spencer alle Fäden in der Hand hat und nicht die Karre aus dem Dreck schieben muss. Um dies zum Gelingen zu bringen ist Microsoft bereit anfänglich ordentlich drauf zu zahlen. Die sehr starke Hardware soll zu einem günstigen und attraktiven Preis angeboten werden, bei der Microsoft anfänglich Verlust macht. Die Gewinne folgen dann durch Lizenzen. Allgemein ist Microsoft aber auch in der Position, dass man sich es erlauben kann „Prestige Projekte“ zu finanzieren, die letztlich dem Ruf von Microsoft dienen und so auch die anderen Sparten beliebter werden lassen.

Darüber hinaus möchte man aber auch Käufer der Xbox One nicht vergessen. Die neue Xbox One soll von Anfang an Abwärtskompatibel zur Xbox 360 und Xbox One sein. Es ist also davon auszugehen, dass ähnlich wie bei der PlayStation die Spiele mit unterschiedlichen Optimierungen veröffentlicht werden.

Angekündigt werden soll die neue Konsole jedoch nicht auf der E3 2016. Laut dem Insider wird Microsoft ein eigenes Event im Jahr 2016 starten um die Konsole anzukündigen. Die Veröffentlichung soll im nächsten Frühjahr erfolgen.
